Your first Sunday begins before you arrive. Tell us you’re coming, and we’ll be ready to welcome you by name, help you know what to expect, and make finding your way around simple. We want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive.
Two Locations, One Church
We've grown to two campuses in Bakersfield so we can serve more of our city — but it's one church with one heartbeat. You're welcome and expected to use any resource at either campus, whatever works best for you and your family.
East Campus
Our largest campus with full Sunday services, special services, and our midweek Wednesday night service. The hub of everything happening at VBF.
Northwest Campus
A smaller, neighborhood-feel campus serving the local community — with live worship, live preaching on select Sundays, and a few weekends where we broadcast the message from our East Campus.
Outside Bakersfield
We have church family beyond Bakersfield too — VBF Las Vegas, Two Trees Church in Ventura, and Atmosphere Church in Thousand Oaks.

We know walking into a new church can feel like a big step. That’s why we’ve made it simple—from parking to finding your seat, we’ll help you know exactly what to expect.
Priority Parking
When you arrive, look for our First-Time Guest Parking along the gate in front of the sanctuary. Our Parking Team will be there to welcome you and help guide you to a spot.
The First Time Guest Booth
Your first stop is the First-Time Guest Booth on the front patio. This is where you’ll meet our team, get your questions answered, and receive help finding your way around campus. We’re here to make your first Sunday simple.
Your Swag Bag
Your First-Time Guest Bag is designed to help you stay connected beyond your first Sunday. Inside you’ll find helpful resources, ways to get involved, and a few thoughtful gifts to say, “We’re glad you’re here.”
Your Kids Are in Good Hands
We know walking your kids into a new place is the biggest question on your mind. Here's exactly how it works, so you can relax and be present.
Check-In Made Easy
We use a secure check-in system at every kids area. Check-in opens 20 minutes before service so you've got plenty of time — but if you're running late, don't worry, we've got you.
Nursery
Our nursery lovingly cares for babies from six weeks to about 28 months — a safe, calm space so you can worship with real peace of mind.
Kids
Kids experience worship, creative Bible teaching, crafts, skits, and small group time — all age-appropriate, all built with a ton of intention to make faith stick and church fun.
Middle School
Middle schoolers get live worship, a message just for them, games, and small group time where they break off and connect with other students their age.
High School
Our high school program meets Wednesday nights with worship, real teaching, and small groups — a place students genuinely want to be because they’re known, valued, and growing together.
Your First Sunday
For middle and high school, walk your student over on their first visit and meet the leader. After that, self check-in makes drop-off simple every week.
