REcovery

Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone — and you don't have to have it together to walk through these doors. There's a real place for you here.

Where Healing Happens

These aren't classes to complete—they're communities to belong to. Week after week, people come together to find support, share honestly, and encourage one another. You're welcome to come and see, with no pressure and no expectations.

Celebrate Recovery

An honest, structured place for all hurts, habits, and hang-ups — from anxiety and codependency to addiction of every kind. Meets every Friday without fail, with a shared meal on the first Friday of the month.

Set Free

A smaller, close support group for anyone fighting an addiction of any kind. Meets every Friday — a place to be known and walk it out with people who get it.

Grief Share

A safe, confidential space for grieving the loss of someone you love. You don't have to do it alone, and you don't have to be okay yet to come.

Divorce Care

A supportive group for finding your footing again after divorce or separation — practical, honest, and walked alongside people who understand.

Healing Happens in Community

Some of the strongest stories of faith are found in the journey of recovery. You are welcomed here—not because you have everything figured out, but because you are loved by God. Through community, honesty, grace, and accountability, you can find support and take steps toward healing and freedom.

Wherever You Are Right Now

Recovery looks different for everyone, and there's no version of it that's unwelcome here. Wherever you are on the road, there are people walking it right alongside you — no judgment, no pretending.

Fighting an Addiction

Drugs, alcohol, or anything that's had its grip on you. You're not the only one in the room, and you're not too far gone.

Hurts, Habits, and Hang-Ups

Anxiety, codependency, compulsive patterns, things you've never said out loud. All of it is welcome here.

Walking Through Grief

Loss that knocked the wind out of you. You don't have to be done grieving to belong.

Healing From Divorce

A marriage ended and you're trying to find solid ground again. You're not behind, and you're not alone.

Loving Someone in Their Struggle

You're the one holding it together for someone else, and it's heavy. There's support here for you, too.

Just Tired of Pretending

Not sure what to call it — only that you're done doing it alone. That's reason enough to come.

When You Gather

Recovery groups are the heart of it, but you're part of the whole church family too. Join us Sundays for worship and teaching, or Wednesdays for deeper connection and growth. Come as you are, at your own pace—we’re glad you’re here.

Sunday Mornings

9 & 11 AM

Worship with the whole church family at 9:00 or 11:00 AM — modern worship, a real message, and a come-as-you-are welcome at both the East and Northwest Campuses.

Wednesday Nights

6:30 PM

The midweek service at 6:30 PM goes deeper into the Word — a steady, grounding place to keep growing in the middle of your week.

Find Your People

Healing keeps going outside the recovery group. When you're ready for more, there are places built for honest connection — go at your own pace.

Men's Groups

Real friendships, honest conversation, and accountability with other men. A space to drop the act, grow in faith, and become the man God made you to be — built for men 18 and up.

Women's Groups

A welcoming space to grow in faith, build the kind of friendships that go deep, and find support through every season of life. Built for women 18 and up.

Support Groups

Beyond recovery, there are support groups for the specific things people carry — mental well-being, cancer, loving someone through their addiction. Safe, honest, and walked together.

Activity Groups

Sometimes connection comes easiest shoulder to shoulder — fishing, pickleball, and more. Same faith, built around something you already enjoy.

Take Your Next Step

There's no timeline here. But when you're ready, these are real next steps — and you won't take any of them alone.

Get Baptized

When you're ready to declare your faith publicly, baptism is one of the most powerful steps you'll ever take. You can do it any weekend — no special planning or complicated process required. We’ll be ready to celebrate with you.

Classes Worth Taking

Short, focused classes help you grow in a specific area. Financial Peace tackles money with biblical wisdom, and seasonal studies open up throughout the year so there's always a next thing to dig into.

Serve and Lead

Join the choir, run tech, or help lead your peers. Some of the deepest growth happens when you stop watching and start serving.

Discover Your Connection Point

Your Connection Point is the fastest way to stay plugged in — calendar, prayer requests, giving, and notes, all in one place without searching the whole site for what you need.

Key Moments Throughout the Year

Recovery groups meet faithfully all year — but there are also bigger moments worth showing up for, built around encouragement, honesty, and the people walking this with you.
Celebrate Recovery First-Friday Meal
The first Friday of every month, a shared meal before the group — an easy, low-pressure way to walk in for the first time and just be welcomed.
Retreats
Men's, women's, and marriage retreats each year — a weekend away to step out of the noise and refocus on what matters most.
Days of Prayer
Once a year the whole church steps into a focused season of prayer together, including early-morning prayer for almost two weeks.
Serve Week
A whole week where the church goes city-wide — real, hands-on ways for you to bless Bakersfield alongside your people.
And More...
These are just a few of the highlights — there's even more throughout the year, from seasonal studies to community-wide events. Keep an eye on the calendar below and you'll always see what's coming up next.

Want to Talk First? That's Okay.

You don't have to walk into a group cold. If you'd rather just ask a question, share what's going on, or find out what to expect first, send a note. A real person will reach out personally — no pressure, no judgment, completely confidential.
