If you're 55 or better, SAMs Club is your community — that's our Seasoned Adults Ministry. This  community is a valued part of VBF, bringing people together to grow in faith and serve with purpose.

The Monthly Gathering

Every month brings something new — a Christian movie outing, a beach day, a potluck, a trip somewhere fun. Real friendship, shared adventures, and a community that makes every season better.

A Legacy of Faith and Service

SAMs Club doesn’t just gather together—they serve together. From wrapping gifts for the Toy Giveaway at Christmas to  preparing Easter outreach, this community continues to use their time, gifts, and experience to make a difference throughout VBF.

When You Gather

Beyond SAMs Club, you've got a place in the whole church family every week. Sunday is the main gathering; Wednesday goes deeper midweek. Come to one or both, however it fits your week.

Sunday Mornings 

9 & 11 AM

Worship with the whole church family at 9:00 or 11:00 AM — modern worship, a relevant message, and a come-as-you-are welcome at both the East and Northwest Campuses.

Wednesday Nights

6:30 PM

The midweek service at 6:30 PM goes deeper into the Word — a great way to reconnect and keep growing in the middle of your week.

50+ Life Groups

Built for Seasoned Adults like you — including a walking group that keeps you moving, connected, and growing alongside people in the same season of life.

Activity Groups

Friendship grows fastest shoulder to shoulder — pickleball, motorcycles, and more. Same faith, built around the things you already love to do.

Women's Groups

A welcoming space to grow in faith, build friendships that go deep, and support each other through every season — yours included.

Grief and Loss Grief Share walks with you through losing someone — people who understand, willing to sit with you for as long as it takes.

Key Moments Throughout the Year

The moments that mean the most often happen off a normal Sunday. Throughout the year there are SAMs Club outings plus church-wide moments built to keep you connected and growing.

Movies, beach days, potlucks, and trips throughout the year — the calendar fills up fast with real fun and real friendship.
Days of Prayer
Once a year the whole church steps into a focused season of prayer together, including early-morning prayer for almost two weeks.
Serve Week
A whole week where the church goes city-wide — real, hands-on ways for you to bless Bakersfield alongside your people.
