Serve Week is an opportunity to love our local community through acts of kindness and care. On June 11 through 18, you will have a variety of opportunities each day to serve with others at VBF. We will provide the opportunities, and you can select which projects fit best within your schedule. We can’t wait to love like Jesus as we get the amazing opportunity to serve Bakersfield through selfless love.

Our team will visit various law enforcement agencies and bless them with party platters, thank-you notes containing scripture, and banners from our children’s church. Our purpose is to minister the love of God by showing appreciation and support to all our peace officers as they put their lives on the line to keep our highways, streets, and neighborhoods safe.
Free Lemonade at The Bluffs

Host a Block Party
Sign up to host a block party in the neighborhood of your choice on Saturday, June 17, and we will supply you with a block party box containing 48 hot dogs, chips, plates, and drinks. We have ten block party boxes available. We hope these block parties will build community, reflect the love of Jesus, and bless neighborhoods throughout our city. You can pick up your block party box on Thursday, June 15, from 9 am-5 pm.
