Join us on Saturday, May 2, at Central Park at Mill Creek, as we launch Serve Week with a Love Bakersfield event. This will be a day to worship together, build community, and put love in action through serving others!
Check-in will be from 9:00-9:30 AM, where you can pick up your t-shirt and take a few minutes to meet someone new. At 9:30 AM, we’ll kick things off with live worship and a short message before heading out for a variety of service projects around our community and within Mill Creek Park. There’s something meaningful for everyone to be part of!
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
We’re collecting items to bless our community with summer care kits, snack packs, and free clothing.
Summer Care Kit Items:
-toothbrushes & toothpaste
-body wash or body wipes
-deodorant
-sunscreen
-hydration packets (ex: propel, liquid iv, etc.)
-q-tips
-socks
Brown Bag Snack Packs:
-granola bars
-tuna pouch with crackers
-snack size trail mix or nut packs
-crackers with peanut butter or cheese
Free Clothing Area:
-gently used clothing
(all sizes welcome!)
Bring your donations to the East Campus church office by Wednesday, April 29 or you can drop them off beginning at 8:30 am the day of the event.
Please register ahead of time to help us ensure we have the correct amount of shirts available. Let’s come together and show love to our city!
